eta Sports and Fitness Short Courses
The eta offers a range of Short Course Certificates that have an average duration of six months each. To enrol for any of these courses, students need only a Grade 10 qualification. The ten Short Courses can broadly be grouped into two categories:
The first five courses are gym-related; and the last five courses focus on coaching.
The five gym-related courses are:
These Short Course Certificates would qualify students to teach one of five types of gym classes.
Courses 1 [Indoor Cycling] and 2 [Aerobics, Step and Tone] are music and exercise related.
Courses 3 [Pilates Mat], 4 [Vinyasa Yoga] and 5 [Sports and Fitness Massage] are focused on relaxation or stress release methods.
