What does FET stand for?

This abbreviation is short for Further Education and Training.

FET courses are unique in the sense that they are work-related courses preparing students to enter the job market immediately after obtaining their qualifications. This means that when students enrol for FET courses, the training and course material they receive will prepare them for a specific career and it would help them to better their skills to flourish in this specific field.

When you want to enrol at an FET college, you need to be 16 years and older. This means that students with a Grade 10 qualification can also enrol for an FET course at an FET college.

Why enrol for an FET course?

An FET course not only gives you a qualification that will better your chances of getting the job you want, but it can also help you get that promotion you are interested in at your current job.
